Dear Friends,
The last year’s loss of our tiny outdoor kitchen is still posing a great challenge, but we decided to turn it into victory. New trainees are coming in few days but there’s no decent place for us to cook, eat and study together. We are really blessed by completing our dormitories, we are really thankful to all our donors and workers who made this possible.
Now we need to continue moving forward and provide a place that is necessary for every family, ministry, institution – place where food comes from! ????
Goal: $10,000
Walking On by Faith…
…As I walked into the ministry compound, I heard a noise of a young boy from afar, screaming and crying. I ran toward the voice, all that I could was the young trying to quench the fire, burning down the kitchen and storage room of our school. I was shocked to see the little house burning down, and at this point there was nothing we could do. No one was on campus except the young boy, as everyone gone for the preparation of our medical missionary training at nearby town. Looking at expensive machines burning was heartbreaking. But we decided to move on. It is going to get harder as we are nearing the rainy season in Nigeria. It is high time for us to start looking for a way to build a better kitchen/cafeteria to reduce the time the students have to spend in the kitchen, cook in a more hygienic environment, and people can also relax while eating.
Elim Land is seeking for your financial support for the above reason. Please, help us restore the kitchen. The new set of students are coming for the medical missionary training in October. We really desire to have the kitchen already erected before the commencement of the training program.
I am writing on behalf of Elim Lands Missionary Initiative. Elim lands Missionary initiative is committed to the training of youth in spreading the gospel through the medical missionary work. And since 2016, this organization has trained more than 60 medical missionaries for the country of Nigeria year by Year, the situation in the country of Nigeria shows the necessity of training schools like Elim Lands. It provides a lot of opportunities for Nigerian youths to be trained in many area of life. Firstly, they are trained in vocational work (carpentry, welding, bricklaying, farming, tiling and trading), secondly, they are also trained in helping the sick to recover (use of natural remedies, health expos, community health surveying, health education, home care services and natural health food production), lastly, they are trained on how to give bible studies and they are well acquainted with the scripture. Our training school encourages the young people of Nigeria to use all their God given faculties to touch a souls and generates income for them as unemployment problem is increasing day by day, leaving the youth idle and useless and later leading to unhealthy influence in the society.
We have come to the point in earth history whereby we need to prepare more gospel workers. Everyday, we see the reasons why we are called to serve in Nigeria. It has been over 9 months since we are not able to travel to Nigeria due to the lockdown in place, But we have seen God’s providence in lifting the travel bans in Nigeria. We now have the opportunity to travel back in October. Many potential missionaries are awaiting our return. Praise God!
We want to thank you ahead for your Prayers and financial support.
Yours in Service
